We have been contacted (along with other community groups) by Beth Houlbrooke, Chair of the Rodney Local Board, regarding consultation being undertaken by Auckland Transport (‘AT’).
AT is proposing to install new bus stops and upgrade existing bus stops around Warkworth, Omaha and Snells Beach area with new bus stop road markings, concrete hardstands (where required), bus stop signs and new no stopping yellow lines at both ends of the marked out bus stop area. To complement the new bus stop pairs, pedestrian refuge islands are also proposed where feasible. No stopping yellow lines may also be proposed in areas that display potential safety or operational risks including formalising restricted parking at intersections. These are shown in the attached consultation drawings. Consultation Plans
Details of what’s proposed are available – Rodney Local Board Memo
If you have any particular views or concerns about what’s proposed, please email the OBC at email@example.com
For example … do we need a bus stop in the southern end of Omaha? … what appears toi be a narrowing of the road for traffic on Matakana Valley Road; or even Park’nRide facilities in Warkworth?
We will collate response and submit these on your behalf. However, for us to have time to do this, please email us by 23 July 2018.
