The Rodney Local Board has passed on the following information for anyone interested in lodging a late submission in regard to the proposal for a landfill in the Dome Valley:
The submission period has indeed closed for both the resource consent applications and private plan change #42 (PC42) for the proposed Dome Valley regional landfill, so the website is correct.
However the message we’ve been sharing with the public has been that late submissions will be received and considered for acceptance, especially where the delay in lodging a submission relates to the submission period clashing with the Covid-19 lockdown.
Late submissions can be submitted using the forms PPC form_5_submission_form and RCsubmissionform, and sent to:
[email protected] for the resource consent applications (BUN60339589)
[email protected] for PC42
Waste Management NZ Ltd have also confirmed that they will not object to any late submissions received up until 31 July 2020.
We’re encouraging everyone to lodge their late submissions as soon as is possible, because submissions on PC42 have to be summarised and notified for further submissions (the first batch will be notified 25 June 20, any ones received after Monday will probably be notified in August), and all submissions need to be reviewed by our technical experts and planners (this is currently underway).
Lastly, please note that all documentation relating to both processes is still accessible on the Council’s website, and hardcopies are located at the Warkworth, Orewa and Graham St Service Centres, and Wellsford Public Library (currently out on loan to the ‘Fight the Tip’ group who are holding public meetings in outlying areas).
