Hi, everyone – good news from the Council as they now look to complete landscaping of a portion of the carpark as the follow-up to the recent stormwater project – see details below.
Kia ora everyone,
As part of the final stages of the Omaha Drive and Boat Ramp Stormwater Upgrade project, we’ll be undertaking grass reinstatement and planting near the outfall area.
When: Works are scheduled to start around 13th May and will take approximately one week to complete.
Temporary closure: The area will be fenced off for 2–3 months to give the new grass the best chance to establish and thrive, ready for the next boating season.

Why now?
Minimising disruption: We avoided working during the busy summer boating season to reduce inconvenience.
Best growing conditions: Autumn’s balance of rain and moderate sunshine is perfect for grass growth, unlike the hot, dry summer.

We appreciate your patience and support as we complete these finishing touches for a high-quality, lasting result for the Omaha community.
