It seems the filling in of those ditches and widening the pathways is finally going to happen!
It was apparently promised before Christmas – but, alas, that will not happen. We’ve also been liaising with the Rodney Local Board over this, and they’ve advised they are waiting on an update on this re final design, budget, and completion date … although it looks like March 2019!
Sadly it will also cover less area than was wanted, with the swales culverted and paved between the Market and JinJin’s on the Market side. On the other side the swales will be grasses and edged.
Well done to those stalwarts in Matakana for their perseverance, working alongside the Rodney Local board.
