Hi, everyone – the Council is proposing changes to the ward boundaries within the Rodney district, the result of which will be that the Warkworth ward of which Omaha is a part will have one less representative on the Rodney Local Board.
OBC sees this as a retrograde step for Omaha owners and residents so we’re opposing the change, Less representation for our ward will be likely to translate into fewer resources for our part of Rodney from the Local Board even though our ward (Warkworth township in particular) is predicted to grow rapidly.
We invite you to please complete the council survey and we recommend that you oppose the change.
