We are saddened to hear that former Omaha Beach Community Life Member, Peter Jackson, passed away on April 1.
In 2004 he became a committee member of the then Omaha Beach Ratepayers and Residents Association Inc. He was a member of that committee for 12 years, holding the position of Vice President for 2 of those years. Peter was elected a Life Member of the Omaha Beach Community in 2009.
Peter continued his involvement in community matters after 2009 with advice to subsequent committees and played a major part in obtaining approval for the footpath from the roundabout to the community centre, construction of which will be commenced this year.
He will be sadly missed and our condolences go out to his wife Sally.
