Please be vigilant this year when swimming – particularily at the north end, as unfortunately an illegally abandoned set net and crab pot were recently removed. These nets do pose a risk to swimmers, so if you do see one, please alert a lifeguard, or call Insight Security.
You might be aware the Omaha Beach Committee, led by Chris Martin of Insight Security, unsuccessfully lobbied the council to ban set nets and crab pots in Omaha Beach this year.
