Action initiated by the Omaha Beach Community Inc. has resulted in changes to the proposed Freedom Camping in Vehicles Bylaw.
The upshot of these proposed changes will mean a continuation of the current protections for Omaha Beach.
However, the changes mean that Auckland Council must again undertake a public consultation process.
This means that we will need all residents of Omaha Beach, and OBC members, to respond, and let Council know their views.
When we receive details of this new Council consultation, we will advise all members. We will also continue to put up Posts on our website.
